UBP Group Deputy Chairman Dr. Ahmet Savaşan visited various hospitals on the occasion of March 14th Medical Day and congratulated physicians and health workers. Pointing out that the government and the Ministry of Health are determined to make a transformation in health, Savaşan said, “We must renew the health system together.”.

On the occasion of March 14th Medical Day, UBP Group Deputy Chairperson Dr. Dr. Dr. İsmail Özer visited various hospitals and congratulated physicians and health workers. Ahmet Savaşan, Savaşan said that it is a state responsibility to ensure uninterrupted, quality and accessible health services. “We need a modern healthcare system that will protect the rights of both patients and healthcare professionals,” Savaşan said. Stating that especially the right of patients to choose doctors and hospitals should be guaranteed, Savaşan said that this step will increase patient satisfaction and increase efficiency in health services.
“PREVENTIVE HEALTH SERVICES WILL BE OUR PRIORITY”
Stating that the expansion of preventive health services will positively affect not only individual health but also social welfare and state health expenditures, Savaşan pointed out that preventing people from getting sick is as important as treating diseases, and said that the Ministry of Health will accelerate efforts to reduce unnecessary health expenditures and prevent labor force losses by increasing preventive health services in 2025.
“GENERAL HEALTH INSURANCE STUDIES ARE UNDERWAY”
Reminding that the state is responsible for all health services provided in the public and private sectors, Savaşan pointed out that the relevant ministries continue to work on General Health Insurance and underlined that the government aims for citizens to have access to a more effective and equal health system. “We should take steps by planning for the future, not the present. Renewing the health system is one of our biggest duties towards our society. We are working in line with this goal,” he said.
